Mountain Ascend Treks Pvt. Ltd. is a licensed and government-registered trekking and adventure company based in Nepal. We are dedicated to providing exceptional travel experiences and ensuring your safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout your journey. Before booking a trip with us, please carefully read our terms and conditions below. These terms apply once you confirm your booking with Mountain Ascend Treks.


General Booking Conditions

For Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan trips, we require:

  • A copy of your valid passport, and
  • A 20% deposit of the total trip cost at the time of booking.

This deposit confirms your reservation and is non-refundable once paid. The remaining balance must be cleared upon your arrival in Kathmandu before the trip departure.

Note: For Tibet and Bhutan tours, the remaining balance must be paid 20 days before departure, especially if you are flying directly to these destinations. Failure to make the payment on time may result in cancellation of your booking.


Mode of Payment

You can make payments through bank transfer (SWIFT/Wire) or credit card.

Note: All bank service charges related to the transfer are the responsibility of the client.


Payment via Credit Card

We accept secure online credit card payments. Please contact us for the payment link.

Note: A 3.5% processing fee applies for credit card payments.


Last-Minute Booking

We accept last-minute bookings for Nepal trips up to 3 days before the departure date.
However, last-minute bookings for Tibet and Bhutan trips are not possible due to travel permit procedures.


Trip Postponement

If you need to postpone your trip, please notify us in writing.
We allow free postponement for trips affected by unavoidable circumstances (such as COVID-19 restrictions or natural events). You can reschedule your trip for a later date convenient for you.


Cancellation Policy

  • The 20% deposit made during booking is non-refundable.
  • If you have paid more than the deposit, we will refund the remaining balance after deducting the 20% cancellation fee.
  • Refunds will be processed via the same payment method used for booking.

Risk and Liabilities

All tours and treks are conducted under the tourism rules and regulations of the respective countries.
Mountain Ascend Treks is not liable for any trip cancellations, delays, or changes due to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Political instability
  • Flight delays
  • Illness, accidents, or injury
  • Government restrictions

Any additional costs arising from such situations must be borne by the client. Therefore, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.


Incomplete Tour

If a client voluntarily discontinues the trip or fails to complete it for personal reasons, no refund will be provided.


Unforeseen Circumstances

If your trip is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., war, pandemic, or natural disaster), we will reschedule your trip to a future date. Your payment will not go to waste.


Travel Insurance

All clients joining our treks or tours must have comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Medical expenses
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Trip cancellation/interruption
  • Loss or theft of baggage and personal effects

Flight Delay or Cancellation

Flights to remote regions like Everest, Annapurna, Dolpo, or Jumla may face delays or cancellations due to weather conditions. We advise keeping some extra funds for unexpected accommodation and meal expenses.
Mountain Ascend Treks will not be responsible for additional costs due to flight delays.


During the Tour

If a client engages in unlawful activities and is forced to leave Nepal, Mountain Ascend Treks holds no responsibility for refunds or compensation.


Warning

These Terms and Conditions apply only to direct bookings with Mountain Ascend Treks Pvt. Ltd.
If you have booked through a third-party agent, their policies and conditions will apply.

Note: Mountain Ascend Treks Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
