Nepal is a juggernaut of beauty, a land whose tresses are beautifully curled by the endless curves of peaks here. Undoubtedly these mountains are in all their shades and Valor here, from steep to broad and easy to highly demanding. Nepal has a wonderful strip of about eight of the highest mountains of the world including the Everest, the Makalu, the Lhotse and many more. Nepal has emerged as a global hub for trekking and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world. Trekking in Nepal is as easy and versatile as it is put into words. At every nook and corner, there is another adventure awaiting your adrenaline and your curiosity. You can go for the treks according to your goals and your current fitness level but no matter what they might be, you’ll always get something you’d be in love with. The Everest base camp trek is the most popular and cherished treks of all times. People of all ages and all backgrounds come here to trek and see the mighty Everest just for once. The glamor of Everest base camp trek is too dazzling and the trail itself is nowhere behind, providing a canvas of memories and gushy snowy moments. You get to look at the Sherpas quite closely and understand the maneuver of their personalities and hard work. These people are the friendliest you’d ever find anywhere in the earth and their mountains climbing skills will have a deep-set impact on you, only if their stories fail or you don’t get the
opportunity to listen. The maximum elevation here is the Kala Patthar, situated at about 5,600 meters. You can see the three-dimensional view of the tallest and the loftiest mountains here. The Sagarmatha National Park, the Dudhkoshi River, the Namche Bazaar and the unforgettable flight from the Lukla airport and of course, the Tanzang monastery are the chief attractions here. The cloaked green meadows and the snowy shades of Everest and its peers are worth every hardship you face while deciding on this trip and embarking on it. Another striking trek in Nepal is the Manaslu circuit trek. The Manaslu mountain is the eighth highest mountain in the world, and though it’s shorter than the Everest in the height, it’s nowhere behind when it comes to the hardships. The Manaslu circuit trek is rather challenging when compared to the Everest base camp trek. Everest base camp trek is quite easy and even if you don’t have any prior trekking experience, you’ll be able to acclimatize to it and complete it, but the Manaslu is not a cake walk. The journey of Manaslu trek is very aesthetic, it has the most beautiful sceneries of Nepal and the Tibet border. Somehow, the most beautiful and rugged places always lie quite close to the borders and the difficulties. The maximum elevation here is 5,115 meters at the popular Larkya Pass. A lot of Tibetan customs and traditions will follow you through the passing villages and the Buddhist monasteries will always have your hands holding as you trail forward. The monasteries and the religion, the culture and nature walk hand in hand when it comes to Nepal. And most often, the treks are highly diverse with terrains changing at every step. To the west of Manaslu lie the gigantic Annapurnas and to its east, there is the Ganesh Himal. The Manaslu trek is quite isolated, with a mere 1.5% and sometimes even fewer people attempting to surmount their fears. The Budi Gandaki and the crystal blue waters that keep fluttering around it are so panoramic in their appearance that all the trekkers who complete Manaslu turn fond of it. Somehow the most difficult of the routes provide the worthiest of the experiences and memories. Quite similar to the Everest base camp, you’ll find a number of suspension bridges here, but quite longer and taller. You’re also likely to walk through submerged and lost rocks and most probably bin solitude due to the ruggedness of the trek.
Always remember to have a local help and a bonding Sherpa with you. You might feel daring and want to conquer all your insecurities and fears, but there’s no harm in having a companion. The people who travel together always complete the trails, no matter how long or wider, or tougher than expected. You can go through tea houses to tea houses or land in your own camp as per your requirements. It’s worth noting that this trek usually commences around 3 o’ clock in the dawn so that you’re able to track down the highest point before the winds set in. Everest base camp trek might be the most popular, but Manaslu trek is more rewarding. The Annapurna circuit trek is yet another trek which is highly appreciated and very popular. The colorful and the fluttering flags will keep reminding you that the trek has as many shades and diverse conditions as much the diversity of colors in these flags. At one moment, you see dry and arid cliffs, at another, you’d see the high mountain passes which seem to get higher with your every bounty step forward and suddenly you’ll find yourself at the bay of the deepest gorge in the world. The arid cliffs and the fertile paddy fields, the ecosystem of the subtropical forests, all are a part of this journey, one which you travel as much inside as you do on the outsides. As you start trailing towards the Thorong La Pass, you’d see a mastiff of the panoramic Dhaulagiri, the Annapurna, the Manaslu, and the Tilicho peak. Annapurna is the Devi of the food and this trek will satisfy you like one wholesome meal too. The culturally rich town of Muktinath is also a part of the Annapurna trek and so are the beautiful apple orchards you find in the way. Once you reach the Poon hill, you can relax in the hot water springs and also take a look at the highest mountains of the Dhaulagiri range and obviously the Annapurna range. Annapurna circuit trek is also quite demanding in nature and requires you to be physically and mentally robust before you think of setting out on one. The upper Mustang trek falls just on the way and if you’re really willing to see more and more of these Himalayas and Nepal, you must go for it. The maximum elevation here is 5,416 meters at the Thorong La. One of the most challenging treks in Nepal is the Upper Mustang trek. It is quite young when it comes to being habituated with the trekkers and so has a distinct set of rules and regulations. You need to be at least two trekkers with a Nepali guide or a porter accompanying you to the whole trek. The upper Mustang has remained virgin to the trekkers until 1992, and so the place hasn’t changed drastically in its approach to home the trekkers. The originality and the age-old culture is still the same here as it has always been. The maximum elevation here is 3,810 meters at the Dhakmar and the trek is on the difficult side. You can find tea houses which have started to set up there and need to have some prior trekking experience before you attempt this one. The upper Mustang trek is quite colorful, not just due to the terrains and the trails, but also because of the historic customs and culture of the Tibetan households here. You can also quench your love for art with the silently speaking rock and cave paintings here. The past proud kingdom of Lo is also a part of the journey and so are the tassels of the Dhaulagiri. The area, Lo manthang, the home to the Lo kings is a journey complete in itself. You can take a look at the ancient healing methods, the museum dedicated to Amchis and the schools. Some miles ahead is the Ghar Gompa, believed to have the magical power of turning your wishes true. It is a tribute to the Guru Rinpoche and has a crucial significance amongst the locals. The trek lies between the height thresholds of 3,000 and 3,800 meters, but the major challenge is the dry winds. The dry cold is biting and is extremely hard to bear. A part of the ancient salt route, the upper Mustang trek is a dry and high trek along the footsteps of time and royalty. You’ll see the most astonishing landscapes and win over the hidden parts of your own selves once you walk through these sands. The upper Mustang trek is also very remote when compared to the other treks but is also totally worth it. Nepal has a multitude of treks and the above-mentioned ones are not even 1%. The vivant experiences that you’ll have are quite more vivid, just like the tall mountains which never seem to end. Hike Nepal, hike the time. Nepal is like a valley of mountain ranges, which not only homes heavens and paradise but also dreams and fantasies. It has an amazing blend of culture with nature and the wildlife just seems to be fluttering along with the diverse winds here. The terrains and the meadows may not be very wide but they surely will have a big space in your heart and memories.
