Nepal is situated in the heart of the Himalayas. The young fold mountains are the most
glorious of all in the world, owing to the fact that the Himalayas are the tallest mountain
range in the world. Several of the world’s tallest peaks find their lofty and spirited habitation
here. The Himalayas are considered heaven and the abode of Gods, and hence the rugged
terrains are at places smooth with the monasteries, gompas, and temples of the cultural
glamour.

A number of various expeditions are organized in Nepal. The Everest, Kanchenjunga,
Annapurnas, Manaslu and the Mustang being the most prominent nest of all the treks
organized here. Each expedition in Nepal has its own specialty and own flavor.
About eight of the highest mountains live here in immense peace providing infinite tranquility
and aesthetic love to all its climbers.

The expeditions to Kanchenjunga are the toughest and most extreme in nature. They are a
personal favorite of many, especially those who are seeking genuine unfolding of the
Himalayas along with a number of challenges. The expedition to the Kanchenjunga base
camp and other similar treks require a thorough knowledge of climbing and mountaineering.
A peak which stands below the elevation of 5,000 meters can be accessed by any man who
is fit and physically active in his daily life. But the heights above 5,000 meters demand you to
be tough and trained in the terrains of rugged mountains, especially snow climbing.

The Kanchenjunga is acclaimed to possess the most pleasing sight to the eyes. A British
mountaineer once upon a time confessed that no mountain on earth stands as beautiful,
curvy and gorgeous as the Kanchenjunga does. The Kanchenjunga requires special permits
and a local guide if you want to get along its trails. The Kanchenjunga is the toughest of all
the bottom expeditions and after Kanchenjunga, Annapurnas can be credited to be equally
challenging and fearsome.

The Kanchenjunga was opened for expeditions a short while ago and hence the crowd is
less experienced and inclined towards it. The upper areas are also landslides prone which
make the mountain tough and unforgiving. Your Sherpa guide is the biggest support in
Kanchenjunga.
The Annapurnas as a whole is extremely dangerous, but small expeditions that lead to
circuit trek or base camp trek or Panorama treks are quite easy on the heart and body. They
provide you with the most peculiar and precious views of the mountains without challenging
your core into hardcore mountaineering. The expeditions to Kanchenjunga are relatively low
and less populated as compared to the Annapurnas. The Annapurnas and the Everest are
the most sought after destinations of various expeditions in Nepal.
The Annapurnas provide the vastest majority of expeditions to various hill peaks.
Annapurnas are dangerous and regarded to be among the most dangerous mountain ranges
in the world, most probably the most dangerous. The fanaticism of these mountains can be
understood with the huge mass of trekkers and climbers that undertake various expeditions
in the lap of these mountains.

The Everest expeditions need no introduction. They are as prominent in the minds of all
kinds of people as much life itself is. The love for mountains beats all odds and keeps testing
its capabilities and diligence again and again. Everest expeditions are also in plenty, the
most common being the base camp trek and Everest Panorama trek. There are treks for all,
even for those suffering from breathing problems, old age or people who want to bring little
children to Nepali mountains. The suffering ones can opt for panorama treks which are least demanding in nature and provide gigantic opportunities to see the pristine beauty of the
mountains.
The expeditions usually begin from lush green areas and with time converts to Alpine
surroundings. The upper Mustang trek here is a beautiful exception. The whole trek is
carried out in barren and infertile lands, and white marvels cloak all the way from bottom to
top with patches of sparse vegetation and chanting prayer flags. The upper Mustang trek is
the soul of the ancient Buddhist kingdom of Lo. You’ll also come across the deepest gorge in
the world near the Kali Gandaki.

Padmasambhava and his significance is deeply attached to this place. Expeditions are also
carried out to the green valleys in Nepal, the blossoming grasslands and the Swayambhu
valleys.
Expeditions to Everest are uniquely diverse with the trek commencing from urbs, moving to
suburbs, transforming to lush and affluent forests and finally being embedded effortlessly in
the snow.

The most common parts of almost all expeditions in Nepal are shaking suspension bridges,
glacial waterfalls, hidden caves, teahouses, tall monasteries, and culturally rich villages.
The expeditions to the Manaslu also come under secluded and less taken treks. Manaslu is
the eighth highest peak on earth. Manaslu is robust, sturdy and authentic, not damaged and
affected by development and crowd. Most of the expeditions in Nepal begin from
Kathmandu. Kathmandu is a site which has the beauty of a galloping valley, a culture that is
beyond ages and a history that showcases its royalty. It has an amazing array of
monasteries and Hindus temples that are considered immensely significant and abundant in
blessings and spiritual affluence. Pokhara is the site to almost all expeditions leading to
Annapurnas. Pokhara is a pure place of aquatic scenery. It has some internationally inclined
cuisine centers and provides adventure sports opportunities to the trekkers and tourists.
The Sagarmatha National Park, the snow leopard, the rhododendron forests, the plethora of
birds and butterflies, the fishtail peak, the mapped village, and endless places lie in between
the routes of various expeditions. The tea houses are the general mode of accommodation
during these expeditions. The tea houses provide homely atmosphere, gregarious vibes and
ample of rest and quality food. You’ll meet the astonishing passes and even more awesome
Sherpas who are believed to possess magical climbing capabilities.
There are various expeditions to small peaks in Nepal. Some of these are Tilicho peak
expedition, Thorong peak expedition, Saribung peak expedition, Pisang peak expedition,
Mera peak expeditions, expeditions to island peak, the Everest three passes trek expedition,
Jomsom Muktinath expedition and a lot more.

The Everest three passes expedition is undoubtedly the best route to trek the Everest base
camp and reaches the Kala Patthar which provides the three-dimensional imagery of the
most gigantic mountains of earth. The three passes included are the Kongma La, Renjo La,
and the Cho La. The Lukla flight is a characteristic feature of the Everest expeditions. It is
accredited as the most heart clinching flight in the world. It flies and lands among the lofty
mountains and even an inch of imbalance is enough to take everyone’s life to heaven. (Pun
intended).
Jomsom Muktinath trek is a trek which weaves the thread of culture well with the mulberry of
nature. It begins with the Kali Gandaki river and takes you along the most respected site
among the Vaishnavas and Hindus. Muktinath is the temple of Narayan and is believed to be
the site that bestows liberation to its visitors.

The expedition is to Mera peak is fascinating and fancied with snow. It reaches out to the
heights of about 6,476 meters. There are three summits which are engraved in this amazing
expedition in Nepal. There are hairpin corners, tresses thin lanes, black rocks, snowy crowns
and jewelry, and a deep set inner peace and victory. Climbing high up to 6,476 meters is not
at all an easy task.

The Thorong peak, lying in the Annapurnas is also as high as 6,144 meters and showcases
the rough side of Annapurnas as well as raw Gurung culture. The Saribung peak is also
above six thousand meters standing at about 6,046 meters.
The Pisang peak also lies in the Annapurnas and includes the Muktinath temple in the
expedition pack.
There are also a number of hidden expeditions in Nepal which are not very common and
taken by the people who are die-hard lovers of Himalayan and secluded spots. These
include the expeditions to upper Dolpo, those to Naar and Phu and the expeditions to the
Hongu valley.

There are endless expeditions in Nepal and you can choose anyone that suits you. You can
talk to your Sherpa guide in advance about your needs and interest and he will guide you
well about the available treks and the procedure and precautions. Heed to him well and you
will have the greatest time to your life. The Himalayas never disappoint if you come
prepared.
